Girl Trip: "VIVA LAS VEGAS"
We truly partied like it was 1999--"mom" style, of course! I can't believe it had been ten years since we all went on a trip. Hopefully that won't happen again! It was so nice to be with friends that I have known since elementary/junior high. I had a blast. We mostly chatted the whole trip which was fabulous. We were also able to fit in some pool time, shopping, lots of eating and a movie. I came back inspired, rejuvenated and wanting to be a better person, spouse and mother. Everyone was such an inspiration to me. Miche gave me permission to copy the highlights she wrote which basically sums up our trip:
-Jane meeting "Flavor Flav" on the plane ride over and being "subjected to his bad grammar"
-Cheesecake Factory. Miche's old man meatloaf....
-Our fun gift baskets that struck up laughing and crying moments
-Seeing the movie "Fame"...switch the "F" to "L" for big fat "Lame"
-Four prego women and lots of talk about the kidlets
-A 10 pound bag of candy compliments of Marti
-Roaming the oulets for a great deal
-Listening to music from high school- how did Backstreet and Spice Girls go out of style?!! ha!
-An amazing mansion to stay in!
-Catching some church Espanol style
-Taking the time to actually get ready and put on makeup and do hair. Learning some great techniques from my stylish friends!
-Following our iphone for directions, even if there were a few doosies (J. pulling out in front of a bus 10 feet away! or Miche leading Katie to the "Henderson Executive Airport". oh goodness)
-Reminissing about the good ol' Oly days and getting laughing attacks about our teen years
-The amazing talks, covering important issues and interesting jabber
-Leaving feeling motivated and refreshed.
